Your eligibility to work as a school psychologist depends on what is taught in your education. In order to fulfill the requirements you may need to have done additional training or study (for example, in teaching, psychology and social work).   • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, or other related discipline
  • Must be willing to teach or become a school psychologist
  • Must be able to obtain an appropriate license from your home state first (in state of the country)
  • Must be able to attend or pass the exams for the license in the state of residence of the degree in psychology (for example, in the state of the country)
  • Must have acquired adequate practical education at the university or equivalent

The University of Missouri, Columbia

The University of Missouri is home to its own school psychology program, one of the best in the country. The program is offered in three formats: a four-year program that leads to a Master of Science in School Psychology or a four-year program that leads to a Master of Arts in School Psychology. The five-year Master of Science in School Psychology program at the University of Missouri follows the structure of the two-year program that makes up the Master of Arts in School Psychology program, and includes courses related to school psychology and other graduate courses in school psychology.
